Associate Pastor Glenroy Whyte

The life of a humble beginning, I Glenroy Whyte, was born on the island of Jamaica, the sixth of nine offspring. At the age of 16, I accepted the Lord as my Savior and a short five years later, at the age of 21, I was called by the Lord into the shepherding ministry to which I enacted first pastoral duties at my home church. Having the desire to further my knowledge, I went on to earn two theological degrees from the Jamaica Bible College and Bluewater Bible College.

With over 30 years serving in ministry, the father of two biological children, has served in numerous pastoral roles. On my home island of Jamaica, I served as the Associate and Senior Pastor of the Comfort Baptist Church, the Interim and later the Senior Pastor of the Palmer’s Cross Baptist Church. Following the leading of the Lord, I accepted a position to serve as instructor and maintenance personnel at the Bluewater Bible College & Institute on the island of St. Thomas, in the US Virgin Islands. In the subsequent 14 years in this position, I also served as the Associate and Interim Pastor of the St. Thomas Community Baptist Church, and most recently, as the Senior Pastor of the Grace Baptist Church.

Throughout these years my passion remains the same, preaching the Gospel, teaching, and community outreach. Feeling lead by the Lord to continue my work in the ministry on the island of St. Maarten, at the Good News Baptist Church, where I intend to bring the same dedication and passion to my given responsibilities as I have exhibited thus far. Certainly, with this opportunity, it will be my pleasure to assist and enhance the work of the ministry there, as well as strengthening church’s the ties with the community and the Island at large.
